LIQUID MEMORY

A landscape, left in the water

Leave a little
of yourself.

Draw into water.
Let it become a place.

Draw a gesture. Hold still, then release a wave.

LIQUID MEMORY

A gesture.
An afterthought.

Hold still to grow a pool of ink and press the water down. Let go to release a wave: its pressure carries the ink outward. Move your hand to pull it into currents, folds and swirls. When it settles, the ink rises into a small landscape, catching the light. Draw again to reshape it, or leave it to soften back into water.

Send a tide to roll a broad swell through your ink. It comes from the side you last touched, folding the existing landscape into new currents. You can keep drawing into it.

Open the Memory lens, then hold over the water. Inside that small circle, real ink, currents and surface waves return from up to four seconds ago. A pale seam catches the light where past and present differ. Everything outside keeps moving. Let go to leave a piece of the past in the present.

Choose Recall to draw your last gesture again. It meets the current water, creating a different landscape each time. Your last gesture is kept on this device when storage is available, ready to Recall when you return. Clear water starts a clean sheet while keeping that gesture.

Mouse or touch: hold and move.
Keyboard: focus the water, hold Space to pool ink and move with arrows. Release Space to send a wave. T sends a tide. L switches the Memory lens. Enter starts or stops Recall. Escape returns to drawing.
